According to a recent report by IDC, Samsung was the No. 2 handset manufacturer in the global market in the 3rd quater of 2008. Now we have reports that Samsung has overtaken Motorola to become No. 1 handset manufacturer in the US. Despite the fact that Motorola has been continuously losing its market share in the global handset market, it has for a long time managed to hold strong to the No. 1 spot in the US. But things are now changing and other manufacturers are taking over Motorola's market share in the US.

Two Nokia Smartphones have been awarded by the Wired Magazine. The Nokia E71 is Nokia's latest Eseries Smartphone, which is targeted towards the business users and it is the best Eseries device to date. It has been awarded the "Test Best Cell Phone" award, scoring 9 out of 10 points.

The N82 on the other hand is one of Nokia's popular Nseries Smartphones that features a powerful 5 Megapixels camera with Xenon flash. It has been awarded the "Test Best Camera Phone" award.
