Flash Support for iPhone 3G coming soon?

The iPhone 3G comes with some powerful browser and internet features but one main weakness of the trend setting device is that it doesn't come with Flash support. But it seems that things are about to change as Adobe has announced that full Flash support is now available on the iPhone. The only problem however is the Apple hasn't as yet approved Flash support on the iPhone 3G. However with some much competition in the industry Apple might soon be forced to allow Flash support on the iPhone 3G, which would mean that iPhone 3G will become a more powerful internet browsing machine.

In a meeting held by Adobe, Adobe's Senior Director of Engineering said that they are actively working on developing Flash support on the iPhone and they are ready to go live with it when given the go ahead by Apple.

HTC recently launched its new Smartphone known as the HTC Touch HD (High Definition) that seems to be inspired by the iPhone. The HTC Touch HD looks and feels a lot like the iPhone 3G and comes with some powerful features. Such is the excitement of this new device that mobile pundits believe that it can be a serious threat to the iPhone 3G. Let us have a look at the main features of the HTC Touch HD and the reasons why it might prove be a hit.

The HTC Touch HD comes with a sleek and stylish design that matches the iPhone 3G design.
It comes with an enormous 3.8 inch WVGA that is larger and much brighter than the iPhone 3G display.
It features a 5 Megapixels camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) that is superior to iPhone 3G's 2 Megapixels camera.
It comes with powerful connectivity features such as GPS, EDGE, WiFi, 3G (HSPA) that are comparable with the iPhone 3G connectivity features.
It features HTC's TouchFLO 3D Touch UI that should match iPhone's trend setting UI but as the Touch HD is based on Windows Mobile Professional 6.1, the iPhone 3G UI will still provide optimized performance and a better user experience.
For a detailed comparison visit this link on GSM Arena
The HTC Touch HD surely matches the style and features of the iPhone 3G but will it be a huge success like the iPhone 3G. I think it all depends on launch and pricing strategy set by HTC and I believe it should follow the footsteps of Apple to make the Touch HD a success. Tell us what you think.
