Will Sprint Release a Modified Treo 700w in the US?
When Verizon Wireless started offering the Windows Mobile-powered Treo 700w last January, a business report speculated that Sprint would soon follow suit. But rumors can be fickle. Almost eight months later, Sprint has yet to offer the smartphone to its subscribers. Verizon was able to maintain exclusivity of the model in the US.

But the Sprint Connection Manager's setup program seems to signify the operator will finally offer the Treo. Of course, being almost 8 months late, it would seem this development would inspire yawns. However, the model is called the "Treo 700wx." Discussions at TreoCentral maintain the "x" indicates that this new model will have twice the memory (64mb).

An Exclusive Gallery: Only Verizon Wireless currently offers the Treo 700w, Motorola Q, and LG Chocolate in the US.
