Will Samsung Beat Motorola at its Own Game?

The my-phone-is-thinner-than-yours game didn't start when Motorola's RAZR was released; smartphone-anorexia probably became fashionable once companies realized the RAZR was selling well (over 50 million RAZRs sold)
And who can blame samsung
for copying success? The RAZR may have started the game at 14 millimeters (or .55 inches thick), but all throughout this year, Samsung has released three slim smartphones, grouping them under the brand name "The Ultra Edition." At 12.9, 9.9, and 6.9 mm thick, the SGH-D900, -D830, and -X820 all push the envelope of thinness. Given that some of Motorola's newer models are actually thicker than the RAZR, will the manufacturer be left behind in a game that it started? Maybe it can try out new things.SGH-D900 (aka The Ultra Edition 12.9): Buy, Full Specs, Review
SGH-D830 (UE 9.9): Buy, Full Specs, Review
SGH-X820 (UE 6.9): Buy, Full Specs, Review
