After announcing it during the recent 3GSM, Nokia started to ship the Nokia E61i, successor to the Nokia E61, last week.

If you love the Nokia E61 for its big screen, QWERTY thumbboard, and built-in Wi-Fi, you'll love the E61i. That's because the E61i has all the advantages of the E61, and actually improves on the E61's shortcomings. The E61i has a 2.0 megapixel camera, while the E61 had none. And the flimsy joystick is now replaced by a sturdier 5-way navigator.

And because it also runs on Symbian S60 3rd Edition, you can still play your favorite music and videos. As long as you have enough space on the phone's 60MB memory and whichever microSD you plug into the memory card slot. The E61i also has the same loud speaker as the E61.

Now if only it boasted HSDPA-connectivity like the yet-to-be-released Nokia E90, it would be perfect! Ah well, you can't win them all.
