When Carefully Composed SMS Messages Become Useless

Have you ever written a long SMS message, going over it to make sure you didn't commit any mistakes, and that your meaning is crystal clear? Isn't it irritating to get "k" as a reply?

You: Sir, the survey shows that everything is in order. Our asset portfolio continues to increase in value, while our liabilities are becoming less of a financial burden. Will now concentrate on making our core processes more effective.

Reply: k.

I guess avid IMers know what I mean. Who would've thought that the 11th letter of the alphabet is a great way to totally invalidate linguistic prowess?
