Want to Save Time or Money?

A wealthy friend once told me that time and money are like mass and energy: they're both in some sense equivalent to each other. We either spend to save time, or take the time to save money.

And that's true in the smartphone and PDA world, particularly when it comes to purchasing gadgets and availing mobile services. It has been my experience that looking for great deals takes a bit of time, as you search through websites like Deals2Buy and Longbeard.

At the same time, using more expensive mobile services that provide connectivity practically anywhere will save you time. You get to surf the web when you need to do so, instead of waiting for the opportunity to use a computer. But as we all know, the cost of these services becomes clear once the monthly bill arrives.

It's a truth that goes beyond smartphones and PDAs: more often than not, you can save time or money, but never simultaneously. The good news is that as more budget retailers ply their wares or provide information online, saving time and money becomes more possible every time you discover an effective discount site.
