The only problem with this medium, I reckon, is the unreliability on the unit itself. The owner will claim its good points but will never tell you what's wrong with it, even if you're the type of customer who'll transact in good faith, these people can and/or will take advantage of you. The possibility of haggling is a good thing but the true quality and satisfaction that a brand new phone can bring will never be present.

Well, I guess nothing beats meeting the seller face-to-face. Of course, this is quite impractical if you're dealing with someone far away, especially if he's in another country. I think some for sale forums take advantage of the community though; sellers are given a trustworthy rating by the buyers they've dealt with, so maybe online buyers can use that as a guide.
