Toshiba will soon be launching a new Windows Mobile Smartphone featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor. The latest Snapdragon processor runs at 1.5GHz making it the fastest mobile processor in the world. This means that Toshiba's TG01 will be the world's fastest Smartphone when it is launched.

Here are the details:

Dimensions: 9.9mm thin
OS: Toshiba's 3D GUI running on Windows Mobile 6.1
Display:Huge 4.1-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) touchscreen display

Others: GPS, WiFi, microSD
Expected launch: MWC

A number of manufacturers such as HTC, LG, Samsung, Asus and Toshiba have also shown a lot of interest in the new Snapdragon processor and are working on releasing Snapdragon devices in the near future. The Snapdragon processor is designed for real time high speed computing with low power consumption and it is perfect for latest mobile technologies such as integrated HSPA+, high resolution displays (1024×768 pixels), GPS, Bluetooth, high definition video recording and playback, Wi-Fi and mobile TV technologies. It also works with Android OS so we might see the Snapdragon processor being incorporated into all future Android devices.
