T-Mobile's myFaves Allows Unlimited Minutes With Five People
Here's another reason why you'll spend nights on the phone. T-Mobile has launched a new service called myFaves, jumping "on the bandwagon driven by SunCom Wireless Holdings Inc. and Alltel Corp."

So you choose five favorites, and get to talk to them as much as you want during weekends or nighttime. This will work even for contacts on landline or other networks. Calling them up at other times will use up your allotted minutes (depending on the individual or family plan you've chosen); extra time will be billed.

The service requires you to commit to a 2-year contract, but at least that means you'll get these phones for free/at a lower price.

I'll just change my favorites to whoever I'm calling! Nice try kiddo, you'll be able to change your favorites only once a month. And it seems T-Mobile will come out with "analyzer" to help you see who those people should be (i.e., who you call the most often).

The Good News: You guys won't have to pay Php 50,000 ($1,000) for a month like my friend did, calling up his girlfriend (they broke up).

The Bad News: Mom will be able to check on you...every night!
