TinyTube.net = Mobile YouTube

Now you can watch YouTube videos on your smartphone or PDA!

First things first. If you don't know what YouTube is, climb out of your hole, go to the nearest computer connected to the Internet, and visit the website.

I'm kidding of course. Anyone who's been using the Internet for a while knows what YouTube is: a website full of pointless videos. But there are rare gems that make your visit worthwhile.

Problem is, YouTube is designed for desktops and laptops. Windows Mobile devices, with their relatively small screens, would also have difficulty showing YouTube videos because Flash (the technology that drives the site) isn't well supported by the OS.

But when there's a need, someone pops up to fill it. And in this case, TinyTube.net comes to the rescue. Apparently, it converts YouTube videos into .3GP format, which works fine in a lot of mobile devices. Of course, you'll need mobile Internet access to access the service. And a problem I've encountered while accessing TinyTube.net from a smartphone is that you won't be able to access helpful pages like the All Time Most Viewed and Most Discussed Lists.

Thanks to CoolSmartPhone for the heads-up.
