The Verizon Wireless G'zOne Type-V: A Toughie That Won't Break Your Bank
The Smart PDA has already featured Tough PDAs. But with smartphones, "tough" usually involves slapping on a protective case. But perhaps Verizon Wireless' new toy may be perfect for people looking for that durable smartphone, and at $300 (with a two-year contract), the price is surprisingly decent.

And the G'zOne isn't plain vanilla. The G'zOne boasts a 2.0 megapixel camera, polyphonic ringtoneslinks, and a speakerphone. And users will also be able to access Verizon's services, like VCast Video. Unfortunately, since it only runs on CDMA networks, this phone will be available only the US.

Just How Tough is it? Feel free to read Verizon's press release. They list down the tests accomplished that make this smartphone "compliant to multiple Military standards."

Thanks to Digital Trends for the heads-up.
