Are games on your smartphone really a necessity? Do they curve our productivity? According to studies, a whopping 89% of cellular users play games with their phones at least once weekly. Nearly half of the apps being developed for the immensely popular iPhone are games!
Nintendo's next mobile game system will use 3G technology and both Sony and Microsoft plan to integrate video game functionality in their upcoming phone releases. In fact some studies estimate the 2010 video game market to be a $47 billion industry! Up from $46.5 billion in 2009.
The popularity of online games is expected only to increase in popularity as the smartphone user base continues to gain momentum and many sites offer games that can be downloaded absolutely free.
