The Philippine Launch of the Treo 680

Yesterday, representatives from Palm Singapore launched the Treo 680 here in the Philippines.
A lot of freebies (aside from the wonderful Thai food and drinks of People's Palace) were up for grabs. Palm must really want to highlight the Treo 650's appearance upcoming on A Good Year; my company handed out picnic backpacks based on the movie to media people:
Resellers weren't left out, receiving a kit featuring a poster, stationery and two free tickets to the film. And one lucky winner from each group brought home a brand new Treo 680!
The Treo 680 will retail here in the Philippines for Php 29,800 ($600!), thanks to all those import costs. Though $200 more than the US price (as of this writing), a lot of people looking for a full-featured smartphone consider that cheap.
