The Original Nokia N95 Supports a Bigger Battery

I'm sure Darla was controlling herself while writing about someone cramming a larger-than-normal battery into his N95. I for one feel like screaming Aieeee!!!
Now I'm no hardware expert, and if you ask me about voltage
, milliamperes, and other electronically-related stuff, I'd simply break down and cry. But I do know that using a battery that wasn't designed for your smartphone or PDA poses some dangers that may not be immediately obvious. It could cause an electrical failure that could brick the phone at best, and explode in your face at worst. To be fair, I'm sure the one-step modder had good reasons for using a BL-6F battery with his first-generation N95. That's the same battery that powers the US version of the smartphone, so it's reasonable to expect that the setups are similar. Another practical reason behind this experiment is the fact that the BL-6F stores a lot more power than the original BL-5F.
But if I've spent so much money on a phone, I'd be more careful with what I do with it. Maybe I'd be adventurous with my gadgets if I had a money garden out back. Still, I applaud the balls of Jay! Who dares wins!
