The Nokia N95 Announced

The N95 looks to be Nokia's next "kitchen sink" model. Aside from being a quad-band GSM phone, the N95 also boasts HSDPA, EDGE, and even WiFi. Hopefully the 5.0 megapixel camera will create wonderful pictures and videos, and a 2.6" QVGA screen (240x320 pixels), will probably make it easier to look at them.

The headphone jack and "stereo speakers" implies music playback ability, and users will be able to use a Bluetooth headset to listen to music (via A2DP). A two way slide (see pictures) switches between the numeric keypad and media playback controls. But perhaps the integrated GPS will prove to be this model's selling point.

More Memory Needed: With all these features, the N95 should've had more than 120MB built-in memory. Luckily though, there's a microSD card slot. I'd love to see Nokia or a carrier bundle a memory card with this phone when it becomes available the first quarter of next year.

Watch the announcement: All About Symbian has a link to the webcast of Nokia Open Studio 2006 New York, where the manufacturer announced the N95, the N75, and Music Editions of their current N-Series phones.

Thanks to Mobile Tracker for the heads up and photos. Check out what else The Smart PDA has on this phone.
