Macworld's iPhone Central reports on the first European sales figures of Apple's smartphone. O2 is claiming "hundreds of thousands" units sold since last Friday's UK launch, while inside reports say that over 8,000 O2 iPhones have been activated on that Friday alone.
T-Mobile's disclosure also focuses on the last day of the work week. The German service provider claims they sold 10,000 phones during that time. Both networks are in a 5-year exclusive contract with Apple. Does this mean the unlocking wars will be over once it's 2012?
