Survey Indicates People Would Rather Be Couch Potatoes Than Watch Mobile TV
Looks like devices similar to the Lobster 700 TV may be in trouble. The Los Angeles Times Website reports that a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll finds that both teens and young adults aren't interested in Mobile TV.

About 40% of teenagers and 5 out of 10 adults said they were indifferent to TV-on-the-go. Sensible remarks such as "It just seems like a needless expense to me" and "Why would I want to look at a video clip on my cellphone...I'd rather make phone calls on it" show that there's still a long way to go before mobile video gains acceptance.

Even worse, other studies have shown only 1% to 3% of subscribers actually watch videos on their phones.

Is This the End? Hardly. One day, someone will overcome the obstacles of a small screen and slow networks.

Thanks to Brighthand for the heads-up.
