Sony Ericsson announces Xperia X1 SDK

Sony Ericsson has recently announced the SDK (Software Development Kit) for the upcoming Xperia X1 Superphone that will allow developers to develop exciting applications for the Xperia X1 including music, photography, email, instant messaging, gaming, social networking and video applications.

If you recall the Xperia X1 will ship with windows mobile 6.1 and it will have panels that will allow users to easily access and interact with applications, services and content. The Xperia X1 SDK is actually based on the Windows Mobile SDK that would allow developers to add a variety of panel applications to the XPERIA X1. It will be available for free download on Sony Ericsson Developer World website. Read more about it on Mobile Crunch

Is the Xperia X1 SDK something to be exicted about as was the iPhone SDK? I guess not!
Do I hear some one asking if the XPERIA X1 will ever be launched? Well Sony Ericsson claims it will definitely be launched by the end of this year. Let's wait and see if it actually does get launched by the year end!

Give us your thoughts on the newly released SDK.
