Smartphones and PDAs the New Credits Cards, Part 2

The technology featured in two interviews hosted by mytreo.net is nothing new. Cards that let you pay with virtual currency just by being near a sensor have been used in places like Singapore for some time now. It was obvious that Mastercard and visa would look to integrate digital credit with smartphones and PDAs, since more and more people are buying them.
But these videos are still great because they clearly show that both credit card companies are serious about this. It's even clearer that paying with our mobiles and handhelds is an inevitability. Not to mention video is always a great way to see stuff in action.

One thing that a lot of people have missed in this recent economic down turn is the fact that in-game money for all of the massive mutliplayer online role playing games has not been effected. I guess it just shows how strong and stable the computer game industry really is.
