I'm not really sure if this setup works, but someone has jury-rigged a security camera blinder from a hunting scope, BB gun laser, some electronics, and a cellphone (a Nokia 6280 is used in the demonstration). The mobile is supposed to provide the operator a safe and secure way to activate or deactivate the blinder remotely, through text messages.
If you're the experimental type with lots of time to waste, you could try this out. But then again, even Chaos Projects admits that you'll have to spend at least $150 for everything, including the phone. And the mod involves gutting your phone, removing its built-in speaker and voiding its warranty in the process.
