Smaato is the New Kid on the Block

A contact has forwarded me information on a new smartphone service company. Apparently, the US-based company Smaato plans to cater to the worldwide smartphone market, through their website smaato.com.
Details are scarce, but some of their services look interesting. Smaato News looks like the first truly realtime RSS reader made for smartphones, while Smaato Cost aims to provide an accurate picture of a user's voice and data usage, either on the unit itself or online. Frequent flyers will like the company's International Roaming Guide, which promises up to 30% roaming cost savings.
Perhaps more information will be available, once Smaato publicizes itself during the upcoming AlwaysOn Innovation Summit at Stanford. The conference will be held this July 25-27.
