Skweezer Reaches Version 4.0

Skweezer is great, because as its name implies, it squeezes websites down to a size that fits into your smartphone or PDA's small screen. All you have to do is to visit skweezer.net with your Mobile browser. When you type in the URL of the website you want to browse, and Skweezer will get to work automatically, turning the website into a minimalist format your mobile gadget will have no problem displaying.
Thanks to this minimalism, websites become smaller and thus are easier and cheaper to access. You don't need to download as much data as you would on a desktop browser. Even better, since Skweezer is a service you access online, you don't need to download and install software on you device. It doesn't require space on your gadget's limited memory.
Best of all, Skweezer recently evolved into its fourth version, which features a more straightforward layout. Staples such as web search and directory are still there, but arranged in a much more intuitive way. You can also still customize the service with your own user account, so that conveniences such as bookmarks will be available wherever or however you surf the web.
Thanks to Geekzone for the heads-up.

Interesting, they released this just a few days after http://www.baresite.com launched. Baresite seems to be ahead of them with better crunching of sites and mobile search for news, weather, traffic, and even jobs. Although I like design of skweezer better, In the end, I wonder how these sites will survive with opera mini releasing its new version. See also:

If Skweezer has one advantage over BareSite, it would be the fact that it’s been around for a while. But the challenge posed by BareSite means competition, and when companies are free to compete with each other, the users win!
