Samsung-Leading handset manufacturer in US and upcoming handset line up

According to a recent report by IDC, samsung was the No. 2 handset manufacturer in the global market in the 3rd quater of 2008. Now we have reports that Samsung has overtaken Motorola to become No. 1 handset manufacturer in the US. Despite the fact that Motorola has been continuously losing its market share in the global handset market, it has for a long time managed to hold strong to the No. 1 spot in the US. But things are now changing and other manufacturers are taking over Motorola's market share in the US.

Samsung has also announced a wide range of handsets and Smartphones to hold fast to the No.1 spot in coming months. Here is the line up of upcoming Samsung devices in the US:

Alltel:

Samsung SCH-R600 Hue II: It is a clamshell device that will come with removable covers and a 2 megapixel camera.

AT&T:

Samsung SGH-A777: It is a trendy slider that will come in red, green, orange and blue colors. It will also feature a 1.3 megapixel camera.

Samsung Eternity A867: It is a similar device to the Sasmung behold featuring a 5 megapixels camera and TouchWiz based Touch Screen display.

T-Mobile:

Samsung T919 Behold: It features a TouchWiz based touchscreen display, 5 megapixels camera, 3G connectivity, aGPS, WiFi and Streaming Video Support.

Verizon:
Samsung Renown U810: It is a clamshell device featuring CDMA/GSM connectivity for global roaming, two color displays, external music keys and 2 Megapixels camera.
Samsung Saga I770: It is a Windows Mobile Smartphone featuring a stylus based touchscreen display, 2 megapixels camera, GSM/CDMA connectivity, GPS, WiFi and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
Samsung OMNIA I910: It is a Windows Mobile Smartphone featuring a 3.2 inches TouchWiz based touchscreen display, CDMA/3G connectivity, 5 megapixels camera, WiFi, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and DivX playback.
