Rumor: Nokia N95-3 To Be Sold At AT&T

Engadget is reporting that AT&T will finally get the Nokia N95-3 sometime in the second quarter of 2008. The Nokia N95-3 is the U.S. version of the Nokia N95-1 (i.e. the original N95), which has a bigger battery, U.S. 3G frequencies, but is missing the lens cover for the camera.

While the phone is "old" by some standards, it is light years ahead of anything currently being sold in a U.S. carrier store. There are no pricing details as of yet, nor are there any details about how AT&T will have chosen to "customize" their version of the device. That always seems to be a concern when a carrier starts carrying a high-end device like this. Maybe their commitment to "openness" will mean a kinder, gentler variant?
