As the following is a public service announcement, it deserves wide circulation. Here it is:

This is a public service announcement.

To all companies and organisations who decide to sell off computers or communication devices for whatever reason, please remember to remove all existing data on said pieces of technology - especially when you're a government department. Both myself and the guy at the Telecom shop were quite amazed at the amount of information left on the pre-loved Treo 700wx I picked up today. Good thing we're honest... not everyone would be.

Thanks Rory Purcell-Hewitt! You've showed us another reason to keep our smartphones and PDAs skeleton free!
