You don't need the iPod for music when your smartphone or PDA phone can do the job. But you do miss out on ~~netcasts~~ podcasts. It can be a hassle to download them from the net and upload these audio files onto your mobile. And some phones don't even have enough memory to handle a single podcast.

Which is why Fōnpods (remember the special "o"!) looks useful. And easy. All it takes is signing up for an account at fonpods.com. You can choose your personal favorites, and dial (712) 432-3030 to Listen to them. Everything's free!

Well, except for the "regular phone calling rates." But at least you'll have an easier time listening to techie-stuff like Diggnation and TWiT. And to Crazy Cramer. Boo-yah!
