Play UFO: Enemy Unknown (AKA X-COM: UFO Defense) on Windows Mobile

If you're a consummate geeky gamer like me, you probably know about UFO: Enemy Unknown. It's a classic strategy game that was surprisingly advanced for its 1993 release. Fourteen years later, people are still clamoring for a sequel that would run properly on modern computers.
At least those running Pocket PC or Windows Mobile 6 Pro PDAs are covered. Pocket UFO is a small, 3.5MB installer that provides practically the same gameplay experience, only mobile. The developers apparently used the same graphics as the original game, which still stand up today. The allure of being able to play Enemy Unknown, without the need for emulators of any kind, is actually making me think of buying a Windows Mobile powered PDA. The game is that good, and the screenshots hardly do it any justice.
Ah well, for those of you who already own one, check it out here. Kudos to SMK Software for keeping the geekdom alive!

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this actually is. For anyone that remembers this and is asking themselves the question – yes! This IS worth getting a winmo phone for. Even if you buy some old HTC touch pro junk for like $50 and stuff a $6 sim card in it purely to play.
It’s LESS clunky than the original. Less bugs and generally a joy to play
