Palm Tries Out Comedy to Promote the Treo and MobiTV
If you visit treofilm.com, you'll see Palm's new online marketing campaign.
Presenting the Treo Mobile comedy film Festival, a one of a kind competition to celebrate the emerging art of made-for-mobile films. By bringing together film enthusiasts with mobile devices and humorous content, we're showcasing this exciting new world of entertainment. All of which, we might add, while bringing more than a few smiles to your face.

That's right. Whoever creates the best videos in the three categories This Mobile Life, Retake, and Animation will win $2000, and a trip to the October 18 Los Angeles Gala event. The best of the best, not necessarily from these categories, will also score a free trip, as well as $5000.

The contest is more about the themes, and less about the smartphone itself: " Treo Film Festival entries do not have to be made using a Treo™ smartphone or mobile phone. Films may be shot and edited using any traditional or non-traditional filmmaking method."
