It will also come loaded with Palm's new OS known as the WebOS, which will give the Palm Pre a number of exciting features not found in any other device.
Here is a list of some of the innovative features that will be found in the Palm Pre:
Hardware Features:
Gesture Area: The gesture area is a black space below the Palm Pre's screen that will display a dock allowing users to easily navigate through the WebOS using one hand.
TI OMAP Chip: The TI OMAP Chip is a powerful chip that will give the Palm Pre powerful graphical and multitasking features.
Touchstone wireless charger: The Palm Pre will be the first Smartphone to feature wireless charging.

Software Features:
Cards: This feature will provide a multitasking interface to users that will allow them to easily handle many applications at once. It will allow users to zoom in and out, add and remove, and navigate through cards with a flick of a finger.
Synergy: This feature will allow users to integrate contact information, calendars, messaging clients and search capabilities into a unified menu system.
Universal Search: This feature will allow users to search anything and everything existing on the Palm Pre such as images, conversations, contacts, music files etc. using the local search. Users will also be able to search information via Google or other search engines using the Global search.
Notifications: The Palm Pre will come with a user friendly Notifications feature that will provide useful information to the users without distracting them. So if you are working on a very important task and the Palm Pre has to inform you about an equally important piece of information, it will display a notification on the bottom half of the screen and adjust the UI so you can keep on working on your task.
Multitouch Browser: Palm Pre's browser is built on the same WebKit on which the Google's Android browser and Apple's iPhone Safari browser are based on. Palm Pre's browser is also the second ever mobile browser after the iPhone Safari browser to support MultiTouch. Therefore it promises speed and performance along with exciting MultiTouch capabilities.
