Nokia launched its first ever Touch Screen music device known as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic back in October 2008 and since then it has sold more than 1 million devices globally. This is definitely a landmark for Nokia as it has managed to sell so many devices in such a short time span.
Nokia's Vice President, Jo Harlow recently made the following statement regarding this development:
"The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been received very positively and this milestone is just further proof that people all over the world want a device that is not only a great music experience, but also makes the most of touch screen technology."
Just to recap, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is loaded with Nokia's new Series 60 5th Edition Symbian OS giving it powerful touch screen capabilities. It also comes with some impressive features and multimedia capabilities including 3G connectivity & WiFi connectivity, large 3.2-inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera, 8GB internal memory & 3.5mm headphone jack.
