Quick, which has the most bacteria on it?
a) The average door handle
b) Your keyboard
c) The bottom of a shoe
d) A toilet seat
e) Your mobile phone
Clue: You wouldn't be reading this on The Smart PDA (a blog about smartphones and PDAs in case it's not obvious) if the correct answer was "d," right?
Even if Dial-a-phone's study is a little informal, the online retailer's advice to "clean [your mobiles] regularly with an antibacterial wipe" makes sense. Especially when my smartphone is usually stuck to my face.
Thanks to Darla Mack for the heads-up.

Maybe manufactures should consider some type of antibacterial surface.

That could work. But for now I'd suggest carrying around a bottle of Alcogel if you're really particular about cleanliness.
