nokia has recently announced that the first ever Nokia device running the Symbian OS 9.4 with S60 5th edition platform will soon be available in the market. This device is known as the XpressMusic 5800 or the Tube and it will be available unlocked in Black, Red and Silver colors for just €279 or $392 . Here are the main features of Nokia XpressMusic 5800.
Symbian OS 9.4 (S60 5th Edition) with full touchscreen capabilities
Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) with North American and European 3G Support
3.2-inch high-resolution (640 x 360 pixels) pressure-based touchscreen display
3.2 megapixel camera with Autofocus, Car Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash
microSD card slot with up to 16GB extra storage
3.5mm headphone jack
Nokia also recently announced the S60 5.0 SDK that would allow developers to develop touch screen and sensor based applications for the Nokia Tube and other up coming Nokia touch screen devices. The new SDK will support Open C++, Adobe Flash Lite 3 and S60 Web Runtime amongst other things. Nokia has also announced that it will integrate the new touch interface in all its upcoming devices. Developers can download the new SDK via Nokia's website.
