The Nike+ Sportkit is currently available for the iPod Nano that allows iPod Nano users to connect this Sportkit with their iPod Nanos and monitor their sport activites including distance, time, pace and calories burned. This is done via a built-in accelerometer-based pedometer and wireless receiver
Now we have heard that Apple and Nike are working together to bring the Nike+ Sportkit to the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. It is also expected that users would be able to upload their Workout log on the go using WiFi or 3G internet connection. This wasn't the case with the old SportKit which only allowed users to update their Workout logs using their PC's.
Samsung also recently launched a fitness phone known as miCoach F110 in association with Adidas. This new Sportkit would allow the iPhone to directly compete with Samsung's miCoach F110.
