Motorola Droid X coming soon to Verizon Wireless

The next generation Android smartphone by Motorola known as the 'Droid X' will be available on July 15th on Verizon Wireless. It will sell for a price tag of $199 on a 2 year contract after rebates and discounts and an upgrade plan will also be available for customers who have a Verizon contract. The device has a better build quality than previous Motorola devices and it is a lot bigger than other Android devices available in the market. According to AndroidAndMe, the Droid X will be faster than all other Android devices thanks to the new 1 GHz OMAP3630 Snapdragon processor installed on it. They also believe that it will be the best Android gaming device in the market due to the superior graphics capabilities of the new OMAP processor.

OS: Android 2.1 (OTA update to Android 2.2 available afterwards)
CPU: 1 GHz OMAP3630 Snapdragon processor
Display: 4.4-inch, FWVGA 854 x 480-resolution screen
Camera: 8 megapixel camera with Autofocus, dual flash & Video recording (720p)
Connectivity: 7.2 Mbps, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi
Memory: 512MB RAM, microSD upto 32GB
Others: GPS with aGPS support, HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack
Apps: Blockbuster, V-CAST Video, NFL Mobile app, Skype Mobile, and Back-Up Assistant
Battery: 1570 mAh
