Mobile Mayhem: Man Set on Fire Thanks to Phone

Looks like smartphones and PDA phones aren't safe from them killer batteries.
A 59-year-old's flammable polyester clothes were set on fire after his mobile malfunctioned. He's received the short end of the stick, suffering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over his body. Sprinklers killed the fire before it destroyed anything else within the Californian hotel room. No confirmation on the cell phone's brand has been made.
All I can hope for is that this isn't the start of a trend. An exploding laptop may ruin everyone's day, but a phone going postal near my ear will affect my good looks.
