Mobile Broadband on the Treo 750v?

Some resourceful Treo 750v user has apparently found a way to give his smartphone HSDPA capability. He's helpfully posted a short tutorial on TreoCentral's forums. It appears to work, since the responders are gleefully relating the results, downloading at average speeds of 800 kbps (about 100 kb/s), definitely faster than many wired broadband connections.
The Treo 750v seems to lose its DUN (Dial-Up Networking) capability though, meaning that it can't be used as a modem to give a connected desktop or laptop internet access. But it seems other TreoCentral users have found a way to solve this problem.
This is a very interesting development. If the 750v is actually HSDPA-capable, the Windows Mobile Treo starts to look much more appealing than the newly released 680, since the latter has no Wi-Fi capability.
