MobiGater Bridges the Gap Between VoIP and GSM

We've featured a lot of VoIP-related commentary and products in the interest of convergence, including dual-mode handsets that seamlessly switch between cellular networks and Wi-Fi. So you may be interested in MobiGater, a product that promises that "you will never miss a Skype call."

The concept is simple. An extra SIM placed inside the product lets it bridge the gap between your GSM smartphone or PDA phone, and your Skype account. Incoming Skype calls are automatically redirected to your mobile, and you can contact your Skype buddies from your phone.

A caveat with this arrangement is that since MobiGater is actually calling your mobile, and vice-versa, you'll have to pay for that. Which won't prove too expensive if your relying on an unlimited plan.
