Black is always beautiful. So when Verizon Wireless announced the Black Motorola Q last December, many Silver Q users salivated with envy.

Even at a highly subsidized price, shelling out $299.99 for a brand new Q makes no sense. Good thing the active Q Users community has stepped up. Thanks to "SorsCode," qusers.com has published instructions on how to swap your silver case for a black one.

Needless to say, this do-it-yourself may void your warranty.
