LG the leading CDMA Handset Manufacturer
LG keeps impressing us by launching some cool handsets and gaining more and more market share in the mobile Industry. Nokia might have the highest global handset market share in the mobile industry but when you talk about global CDMA handset market share, LG is Number 1. LG has had the honor of being the the leading global CDMA handset manufacturer for consecutive six quarters.
During Q2, 2008 LG shipped 12.7 million CDMA handsets and secured a record breaking 27.5% market share in the global CDMA handset market. It was also No.1 CDMA handset manufacturer in Q1, 2008 when it secured 25.9% market share in the global CDMA handset market.
Samsung on the other hand came during Q2, 2008 as it shipped 8.2 million handsets and secured 17.7% market share in the global CDMA handset market. Motorola came third with 5.1 million shipments and 11% market share.
