Let the Sun Power Your Smartphone or PDA
If it only stored energy taken from a wall socket, then the Solio wouldn't stand out in a crowded market of portable chargers. But because it actually shores up solar powerlinks, the Solio may be a uniquely useful solution for mobile buffs.

And thanks to a various configuration of tips and cables, the Solio boasts a comprehensive supported device list that includes smartphones, PDAs, and even iPods. The unit itself costs $99.95, and comes in white, black, silver, and pink for the ladies. A "Limited Edition Quiksilver" version actually goes for $10 less. Tips and cables range from $4.95 to $19.95 for a bundle.

So Is It Worth It? As the many reviews say, the Solio's strength is its weakness; no sun, no power. But in tropical countries (like mine) where we literally see the sun as a scorcher, perhaps the Solio can put that heat to good use.
