For 2007, the US Congress extended the traditional daylight saving time period. It now starts on the second Sunday of March, and ends on the first Sunday of November. All to see if the scheme really does cut down on energy consumption.
So if you live in affected areas, or travel to them a lot, you'll need the patch. Head over to Microsoft's website and follow the instructions. The update page also has some useful info on the impact of the software--and the new DST period--on your mobile appointments.
Update: Microsoft's original patch was buggy. You'll need to download the newer version.
