The treo 500v is finally official. Read on to see some official pics and specs, courtesy of Palm.

If the "v" suffix doesn't make it any more obvious, Vodafone will get first dibs on Palm's new "budget" model, when it comes out this October 1.

It's suddenly obvious to me that Palm has always used interesting visuals for their marketing, much like Apple. Now all Ed Colligan and company have to work on are the products themselves, and the message
