Introducing the Sony Ericsson Z750

The first HSDPA phone The Smart PDA checked out was the Samsung SGH-Z560. The Sony Ericsson Z750, announced at the recent CTIA 2007, is also a clamshell and also surfs the web at speeds up to 1.8 Mbps (a rarely attainable maximum to be fair). But at least in the looks department, Sony Ericsson is the clear winner. And it's no hardware flyweight, with features like:
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 Mhz), EDGE, and HSDPA compatibility
- QVGA primary screen, outside display that blends into exterior
- 32MB internal memory, Memory Stick Micro slot
- Bluetooth 2.0 (A2DP capable) and USB connectivity
- Support for Microsoft Exchange
- 2.0 megapixel camera with macro capability, secondary camera for voice calls
- FM radio with RDS and music (MP3 or AAC) player
The Sony-Ericsson Z750 will be available in "rose pink" or "phantom gray," and will ship during the 3rd quarter of this year. It's interesting to note that this smartphone won't run on UIQ, which is a Sony Ericsson staple. Perhaps the Z750 will be perfect for those who want good-looking wireless modems for their laptops.
