Danger Inc.'s Sidekick, as subsidized by T-Mobile, is quite popular in the US. Especially after Paris Hilton's Sidekick was hacked. But though $200 may be reasonable for a PDA phone with great connectivity options and a QWERTY thumbboard, not everyone can make it rain money.
Yet even if the new Sidekick iD goes for only $99, is it worth it? It's definitely cheaper, but there's no built-in camera and EDGE connectivity, two features that made its older brother a seller. And anyone who has experience with rebates will tell you they're not exactly a walk in the park.
Hopefully the new trackball navigator will make life easier for users. And the easily-customizable casing will definitely be a hit with the young ones, who like pimping their gadgets. The Sidekick iD will be available on April 25, courtesy once again of T-Mobile.
