Introducing the MOTOROKR S9: A More Portable Jabra BT620s

Motorola is featuring a pretty slick-looking gadget on its website: the MOTOROKR S9. It's obvious the Bluetooth headset is perfect for people with long hair, since the device's minimalist form factor becomes invisible under lengthy locks. The in-ear rubber sleeves also do a better job of tuning out background noise, meaning you don't have to boost the volume to eardrum-destroying levels to hear your music.

In many ways, the Motorola ROKR S9 (pictured above) improves on the Jabra BT620s. Jabra's offering, which was used to help define what A2DP is all about, is heavier (3.5 ounces vs. 1.14) and boasts bigger earpieces that may disturb the slim profile desired by fashionistas. And the ROKR S9 costs $0.04 more! ($129.99)
Unfortunately, it looks like portability comes at a cost. Motorola estimates the ROKR will last you about six hours, compared to the fourteen claimed by Jabra. And manufacturers love exaggerating battery life estimates.
