A recent announcement from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC have revealed their newest baby, the HTC Touch. There's no 3G, but that seems the only thing missing. And reports that a 1GB microSD will be bundled in the box are music to the ears.
But HTC hopes the piece de resistance of this Windows Mobile 6 Professional device (that's PDA to you, Mr. Layman) will be the TouchFLO interface, a demo of which is available here. As well as the thin 13.9mm profile. Take a look at what else is under the hood:
- Triband GSM (900/1800/1900Mhz) PDA Phone
- QVGA Touch-sensitive TFT Color Display
- 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, microSD slot
- 201Mhz TI OMAP 850 Processor
- GPRS, EDGE, 802.11g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth (A2DP-capable) connectivity
- 2 megapixel camera
Will the relatively weak OMAP processor have enough power to drive HTC's new touch-based interface?
