How to Take Great Pictures With Your Smartphone or PDA's Camera

Check out the picture above, taken by my friend Marc during the last Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. The N70's 2 megapixels produced a surprisingly high-quality image (check out Marc's other pictures). Mainly because it was around 7:30 am when snapshot was saved for posterity, so there was plenty of sunlight.

I just took this photo with the Nokia 7390. Notice the many fluorescent lights:

The relative clarity and quality of these pictures are proof that integrated cameras have come a long way from their humble .1 megapixel beginnings (look at the English version if you can't read Japanese). But even for gadgets that feature a flash, one fact remains true. Low-light conditions produce grainy, sometimes barely identifiable images. No matter the megapixel count.

In short, try to capture only well-lit subjects.
