How to Get a Palm Treo 750 for Only $14.99

Here's another great smartphone or PDA promo, courtesy of Gadgets on the Go: Just head over to this product page on Amazon, and you can get a brand-new Treo 750, with all of its user-friendly enhancements and HSDPA connectivity, for under $15.

Some things to consider though:

  • You need to get a new line from AT&T/Cingular, or renew an existing one, to avail of the big $710 discount.
  • Typical service contracts lock you in for 2 years, with steep fees penalizing early termination.
  • If you don't maintain this new line "in good standing" for 181 days after purchase, Amazon will automatically charge your credit card $250.
  • The cost of the phone before rebates apply is $190. Meaning it will take a while before you get $175 back from them, if at all.

Whenever a smartphone or PDA, particularly a high-end gadget like the Treo 750, goes for such a low price, there are usually many restrictions outlined in the fine print. Take your time and make sure you know all the terms of what you're agreeing to. There's no problem availing of these deals, so long as you're sure you can hold up your end of the bargain. Because if you agree and find out later on that you can't uphold the contract, you'll end up spending more. A lot more than what you would've saved.
