You Don't. If you're a call-heavy subscriber, Use your new smartphone or PDA phone for your current plan, then get an unlimited account (like Cricket or Sun Cellular) for your old unit to save money.
Hand it Down. Your younger brother/sister always drooled over your old handheld or mobile, but never had enough moolah to buy one. Now here's a chance for you to exercise the holiday spirit and give it to him/her.
Donate to Charity. Help battered women and seniors dial 911 in times of need. Old PDAs are also useful for students. Check out WirelessRecycling.com's FAQ for more info.

Test Blendtec's Total Blender! A great marketing idea, showing how strong a blender is by chopping up a bunch of smartphones with it (skip to the middle of the video). Hope you're really not serious about making smartphone purée. Send your old mobile to Blendtec instead. Who knows? They might feature it on willitblend.com. As they say: don't try this at home.
